Contest Rules — Globex Awards
What this is
Globex Awards is an international music competition open to artists distributed through NME Distro and its partner labels. Each year, monthly qualifying rounds select finalists, and the season ends with a final round crowning one artist “mega star.”
How a track enters
Tracks are entered into the contest in two ways: an artist uploads a track directly, or — for artists distributed through NME Distro — a release is automatically submitted once the artist gives explicit consent at the point of release. Consent is given per release, not automatically for an entire catalog or label.
How voting works — two separate things, not one
Free vote— registered listeners get one free vote per day (for or against a track of their choice). Free votes are the ONLY thing that determines which tracks advance through the contest — the top 10 each month, the monthly finalist, and the season’s overall winner (“mega star”).
Paid vote— anyone can support (or oppose) a track with a paid donation ($1 per vote, any quantity). Paid votes affect a track’s public rating, shown on the site as a separate number, and count toward direct support for the artist. Paid votes do not affect who becomes a finalist or who wins the season — only free votes decide the contest outcome.
Payments are final. By completing a payment, you agree it is a non-refundable donation made in accordance with these rules, immediately delivered — not a purchase you can cancel afterward.
Self-support
Artists (or their labels, or their fans, on their behalf) are allowed to vote — free or paid — for their own tracks. This is not considered improper use of the platform.
